Di2 & AXS electronic shifting service

Electronic shifting is wonderfully reliable when it's set up right. We install, pair, update and fine-tune Shimano Di2 and SRAM AXS groupsets.

What we do

  • Full groupset installs on new builds and upgrades from mechanical
  • Pairing shifters, derailleurs and accessories
  • Firmware updates and settings through Shimano's E-TUBE Project and SRAM's AXS app
  • Derailleur adjustment and hanger alignment, which electronic shifting can't fix in software
  • Troubleshooting: missed shifts, lost connections, battery and wiring issues
  • Shift button customizing and multi-shift settings

Di2 vs. AXS in a nutshell

Shimano Di2 uses a central battery inside the bike and wires to the derailleurs; on current 12-speed road groups the shifters are wireless. SRAM AXS is wireless, with a removable battery on each derailleur and coin-cell batteries in the shifters. Both are adjusted and updated through an app, but both still depend on a straight derailleur hanger and a clean drivetrain to shift well.

Common problems we fix

  • Shifting that drifts out of adjustment after a crash or a bike-rack knock (usually a bent hanger)
  • Components that stop talking to each other after a battery swap or firmware update
  • Internal wiring damaged during a cockpit change
  • Dead coin cells in AXS shifters

Before you drop off

Charge the batteries and bring the charger (and any spare AXS battery). If you know your app login or the bike's paired setup, let us know.

Questions riders ask

Can you upgrade my mechanical bike to Di2 or AXS?

Often, yes, depending on the frame, brakes and groupset. Bring the bike in or send us the model and we'll check compatibility before you buy anything.

Why does my electronic shifting still miss shifts?

Most often it's a bent derailleur hanger, a worn chain or cassette, or a trim setting that needs adjusting. Software can't fix a bent hanger.

Do I need to bring my charger?

Yes, please bring the charger and make sure the batteries are charged.
